The Rural Development (RD) Cell of SIPRD aspires to witness the transformation of Bengal villages into self-sufficient economies, growing opulent with its maverick knowledge and skills of production so as to attain the peaks of Human Resource Development and Livelihood Development using the expanding means of infrastructure.
The Rural Development (RD) Cell strives to kindle the spark among the RD facilitators serving in the domain of villages and Panchayats operating in different tiers and in different capacities.
To equip the RD facilitators with the updated knowledge of tradecrafts.
To continuously develop and transfer the skill of programme/project management in the field right from the process of envisioning – planning – budgeting – implementation – supervision to sustainable asset creation.
To inculcate the habit of good governance through prompt and improved service delivery mechanism
To strive for higher levels of transparency and accountability
To explore the best practices in the field for its rapid replication
To instigate the RD facilitators to explore every possibility of convergence for synergizing the efforts of rural development
1) To conduct training on RD programmes to PRI members & RD facilitators in field
2) To prepare training materials, books and modules for the PRI members & RD facilitators
3) To undertake Impact Study of the Trainings undertaken by the cell
4) To undertake continuous evaluation and updation of the Training content & methodology
5) To maintain continuous liaison with the facilitators of Rural Development in filed
6) To maintain continuous liaison with other Departments and gencies/ organizations working in the domain of Rural Development
